Northbourne was engaged to co-host the Spiegeltent at the iconic Entertainment Quarter (EQ) precinct after a successful collaboration with The Runway Collective in 2022. This previous collaboration delivered a series of up to 14 shows per week over 12 weeks in both Melbourne and Sydney, with each individual show drawing from 250 to 550 attendees. The EQ precinct’s reputation as a cultural and entertainment hub further amplifies the prestige of hosting such events, ensuring an exceptional experience for Sydney’s discerning audience. The Spiegeltent offers an ideal backdrop for delivering top-notch entertainment spanning cabaret, circus, comedy, and musical theatre.

Spiegeltent key deliverables

• Project management and client liaison.

• Design and construction of new infrastructure.

• Development of menu and beverage offerings, featuring local craft beers, creative cocktails, classics and favourites.

• Introduction of house-made grazing boxes as a food offering, resulting in increased revenue and heightened customer satisfaction.

• Employment and management of staff associated with the Parlour and Spiegeltent bars. Northbourne’s dedicated team, comprising a full-time operations manager, part-time HR manager, part-time finance manager, a casual part-time bar manager, and 20 skilled casual bar staff, ensured the seamless functioning and success of these iconic entertainment spaces.

• Review of sales performance, upcoming events, promotional strategies and operational matters.

• Analysis of trends and identification of areas for optimisation.
