Northbourne collaborated with Brisbane City Council to design and build a custom bar for Riverstage in Brisbane. The purpose-built bar structure has elevated the offerings to increase customer engagement and boost revenue.

Riverstage key deliverables

  • Concept development and design consultation tailored to venue layout, capacity, and audience profile.

  • Collaboration with designer, Brisbane City Council, and event producers to align bar design with operational flow and site logistics.

  • Production of detailed bar layouts, elevations, and service schematics for client approval.

  • Custom fabrication of modular bar infrastructure, including counters, back-of-house storage, keg systems, and decorative finishes.

  • Integration of plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and beer reticulation systems to meet venue and supplier requirements.

  • Coordination of all required building, structural, and safety certifications.

  • Procurement and installation of back-of-house equipment (e.g. ice wells, speed rails, sinks, fridges, and tap systems).

  • Custom branding and signage solutions, including illuminated logos, menu boards, and point-of-sale integration.

  • Design and implementation of efficient staff workflow zones to maximise service speed and reduce congestion.

  • Integration of sustainability measures such as reusable serviceware stations and energy-efficient cooling systems.

  • Coordination of delivery, transport, and on-site installation within event bump-in schedules.

  • Liaison with venue management and local authorities to ensure compliance with building, safety, and liquor licensing requirements.

  • On-site supervision during installation and testing to ensure seamless handover.

  • Optional provision of ongoing maintenance, storage, and refurbishment between events.
