Diversity, inclusivity & accessibility
Northbourne embeds diversity, inclusivity and accessibility into every event we deliver. We build workforce practices that support safe, culturally aware and accessible service environments across festivals, venues and major events. Our teams receive targeted training, and our operational processes are designed to remove barriers for both staff and patrons.
We maintain strong partnerships with First Nations–controlled businesses and community organisations, ensuring genuine engagement and reconciliation through action. Our commitment has been demonstrated at major events including Sydney WorldPride, where we supported more than 70,000 international guests with a fully trained, inclusive workforce.
Northbourne is also a proud member of the Hidden Disability Sunflower Initiative, improving accessibility for people with non-visible disabilities through awareness training and responsive customer service
A typical full-service inclusivity and accessibility solution includes:

• Collaboration with First Nations–controlled suppliers and community partners
• Accessible workforce planning integrated into recruitment, onboarding and service delivery
• Training to recognise and respond to the Hidden Disability Sunflower symbol
• Inclusive induction processes for all staff across events, bars and catering operations
• On-site leadership trained in accessibility protocols and issue escalation
• Post-event reporting on inclusivity outcomes and recommendations for future events
