Australia Day for National Capital Authority x Northbourne

Year partnered: 2021
Northbourne was contracted by the National Capital Authority to manage an $870,000 grant from the National Australia Day Council to deliver Australia Day 2021 in Canberra. Spread across six sites around Lake Burley Griffin, the event required not only seamless operations but also strict financial and compliance oversight.
Northbourne delivered the ‘Iconic Event’ in full, administering funds in line with grant conditions, providing secure reporting, and managing sensitive event IP for government stakeholders. The result was a safe, successful and compliant celebration that balanced community impact with rigorous accountability.
Northbourne’s roles have inlcuded:
End-to-end event producing across marketing, programming, management and execution
Management of liquor licensing and regulatory approvals
Coordination of compliance requirements with local authorities
Liaison with food and beverage vendors to streamline operations
Recruitment and management of event staff
Sourcing and supply of event glassware and service equipment
Preparation and distribution of resident notifications to ensure community engagement
